Through the VA DEM, disability exams will be provided for Veterans through single-visit evaluations, using an electronic exam management tool—all exam results are returned electronically. To participate, you will need Internet access and ability.

Examinations begin with a review of the Veteran’s medical history package as well as the Veteran’s self-reported current state of health prior to the appointment. This material, paired with the Veteran’s responses you collect during the exam, will then guide you through our worksheet-based protocols. Once the examination is complete, the results and subsequent diagnoses are populated directly into the Veteran’s record via LHI’s web service. All of this can be completed from the comfort of your office.

LHI is looking for health care providers who will:

  • Participate in extensive training, above and beyond current LHI provider training
  • Submit to a background check for security clearance
  • Perform comprehensive disability exams
  • Provide appointment scheduling within 24 hours of request
  • Submit electronic records on the same day of the exam

LHI is dedicated to providing comprehensive provider training and support, including a dedicated call center for patient inquiries and appointment scheduling; committed medical professionals for training, support and guidance; and support for administrative questions.
